The thing that I love about this wine business is the people and circumstances that I find myself in. This blog is about a pretty great life as a wine guy and from time to time I’ll throw a commercial comment in but mostly it’s about life and how you find it.
Why do a blog called “Icewine Tales”? I had to pick some kind of name. I sell a lot of Icewine and I get to travel and meet some pretty interesting people and I run across stories that should be told.
I write in longhand and on PDAs and on keyboards and I meet some pretty interesting people and write about them. Usually I’ll not mention names unless they are recognizable world wide, because it isn’t the name, but the characters that are interesting to me. And sometimes, it’s just prudent to tell a story but protect the innocent !
I’m close to the growers, the winemakers, and the local consumers and am a great first contact for anyone outside of Canada who wants to know about Niagara wines.
